SEATmio reads the public seat maps of 5,879 cinemas in 90 countries and turns them into tickets sold, occupancy and presales - per screening, film, cinema and chain. Independently, the same day, without asking anyone for a report.
Live from our database, refreshed every 10 minutes.
To sell a ticket online, every cinema shows the room: which seats are free and which are gone. That map is public, for every screening, from the day presales open.
From presale opening until a few minutes before the lights go down, so we see how a film sells day by day, not just where it ended up.
Tickets, occupancy, presales and market share, rolled up from the screening to the cinema, the film, the chain and the country. The same method in every market, so markets compare.
Box office totals tell you what happened last weekend. SEATmio tells you what is selling right now, in which room, at what hour, and against which competitor.
Follow presales in the days before release, compare them with similar titles and walk into the conversation with exhibitors with numbers.
You know your own sales. SEATmio shows the competitors' too: occupancy, programming and dayparts, measured the same way for everyone.
Measured attendance per screening instead of estimated reach. Plan campaigns by title, hour and venue and report what was delivered.
Daily ticket counts for listed chains and for the films that drive them, long before official figures are published.
A private dashboard, alerts and exports scoped to your markets, chains and titles. We agree the scope with you; nothing is self-service.
How many seats a film has sold 7, 3 and 1 day before opening, and how that compares with titles like it.
A film's share of screenings against its share of tickets. The fastest way to see who is under- or over-screened.
Sold seats against the room's real capacity, for every show. The one metric that compares a multiplex with a single screen.
Chains and cinemas side by side: tickets per show, occupancy, programming and share, measured one way for all of them.
When audiences actually go: a weekday by hour map of tickets, per market, chain or film.
Where a film over-performs and where it stalls, down to the individual cinema.
2D, 3D, IMAX and premium rooms; dubbed against subtitled; family titles against the rest.
CSV exports, scheduled reports by e-mail and an API for your own models and BI tools.
The dashboard is in private rollout. The data behind every item above is collected today; the exact set of views is agreed with each customer.
Three days before a multi-market release: the kind of report a distributor gets for its own title. The figures below are illustrative.
Film X takes a larger share of demand than of screens: a case for more shows.
Official box office arrives late, summed per film and per weekend, and in many markets not at all. SEATmio starts from the individual seat.
Every figure rolls up from a single show in a single room, so you can go from the country total down to Saturday 19:30 in one cinema.
We read what every cinema already publishes. No reporting agreements, no panel of volunteers, no waiting for anyone's figures.
We know the room's capacity, so we know how full it was. That is what decides the number of shows.
The curve before release is where decisions are still possible. Totals after the weekend are history.
Brazil, Germany and South Korea measured the same way, so a title can be followed across borders.
When a read fails we record it as missing, never as an empty room. A gap in the data never turns into a collapse in sales.
Pick a country to see which cinema chains we monitor there. Selected chains come with sales history going back years.

Your market is not on the list? Tell us in the form below. New chains are added every week, and a market with a customer waiting goes first.

From the seat maps cinemas publish for online booking. Every ticketing system shows which seats in a room are taken; we read those maps repeatedly for every screening in our coverage. No agreements with cinemas, no personal data: we see seats, never who bought them.
We count occupied seats, which means tickets sold and seats held in a booking. The final read is taken minutes before the show. It is not a count of people who actually walked in, and seats sold at the box office after our last read are not included.
Same day. Screenings are read throughout presales and again shortly before they start, so yesterday's results are complete in the morning and today's presales are visible as they happen.
For selected chains, yes: complete screening-level history going back years, in one case to 2019. For most others our history starts when we began reading them and grows every day.
SEATmio measures tickets and seats, not money. Revenue estimates based on average ticket prices can be prepared on request.
